Self Contained Pavement Cleaning Machine
The unit has been housed in a purpose-built self contained vehicle.
It has two 3OOOpsi burners pumping steam to the twin hubs at 180 degrees, which means that normally no additional cleaning chemicals are required.
Each floor hub receives 40 litres per minute which is immediately vacuumed and the dirty water returned to the unit for recycling.
The Recycling Process
The first filtering bin removes all the large particles from the water.
It is then pumped into the recycling tank for further cleaning and is pushed through three different pressurised filtering units which remove particles down to 1 micron in size.
The clean water is pumped back into the main tank and is ready to be reused.
This has several major advantages:
- We can keep cleaning without the need for refilling.
- There are incredible water savings - instead of wasting 19,200 litres of water in a typical shift this system uses less than 600 litres.
- With no water splashing around we are able to clean in daylight ensuring excellent PR opportunities
- As the water is vacuumed, the surface is dry and immediately ready for an anti-gum coating if required.
