Gum Clear Case Studies

This project was authorised by Keith Wilson, the Business Improvement District Contacts and Compliance manager for Winchester City.

Keith explains how the project came about and why he chose Gum Clear:

"Consultation meetings with business owners in Winchester identified chewing gum on our streets as a major area of concern and the one with the highest priority for attention.

After contacting several firms and viewing demonstrations of the methods of gum removal that would be used, we decided on Gum Clear due to the competitive tender and their ability to minimise disruption to trading and residents.

We also had confidence in Gum Clear handling this contract to the benefit of the local businesses with no risk to the surfaces and grouting and also no need to wash down windows etc. Particular attention was paid to health and safety and the best times to clean difficult areas.

The level of public support and approval was high with both coverage on local radio and articles in two newspapers."
